Brad F. England is a Managing Partner and co-founder of Monitor Finance,
which has acquired over 2,800 multi-family units throughout the mid-west and currently
has over $170 million in real estate assets under management. He is a seasoned financial
markets professional, with extensive experience in equity, advisory and debt transactions
globally. From 2002 to 2006, he was a senior executive with Piper Jaffray & Co.,
holding positions including Head of Investment Banking and Head of Capital Markets.
Prior to joining Piper Jaffray, England spent fifteen years with Merrill Lynch &
Co. and was a senior member of its Investment Banking and Equity Capital Markets
divisions. While at Merrill Lynch, he held positions including Head of Technology
Origination, based in Palo Alto; Head of Equity Capital Markets and Head of European
Corporate Finance, both based in London; and regional Head of Corporate Finance,
based in Chicago. He also spent eight years with General Mills Inc. in Minneapolis.
During the 2006/07 and 2007/08 academic years, England was the Distinguished Visiting
Professor of Finance at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is an active
board member of The American School in London (ASL) Foundation. Past affiliations
include board member of the Minnesota Opera, board member and head of the capital
campaign for The American School in London, member of The American Friends of the
Verbier Festival & Academy, board member of The Ravinia Festival, President and
founding member of The Ravinia Associates, advisory member of CYCLE, founding member
of the Winnetka Public Schools Foundation, and chair of the Karl Egge Professorship
in Economics endowment campaign.
